I’m often asked which is my favorite episode of GOSSIP GIRL.  Of the twelve I’ve done, the one most dear to my heart is “THE AGE OF DISSONANCE” (218), which was shot in December 2008 and January 2009.  It aired on March 16, 2009.  Jessica Queller’s terrific, funny, emotional script demonstrates how GOSSIP GIRL is just essentially updated Edith Wharton, and I think it perfectly captured all that is best about the show—its humor and pathos.  I loved the theatrical nature of this particular episode.  It also had inspired comic turns by Zuzanna Szadkowski, as Dorota, and Yin Chang as Nelly Yuki.  I particularly love the final operatic sequence, which was edited by my good friend and collaborator Tim Good, who edited all my early episodes on the series.
